Scorpions Earn 7-4 Win Versus Hialeah
The Sonoma Scorpions dumped the Hialeah Firecats, 7-4, in large part due to third baseman Jose Sanchez. On the day, Sanchez went 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Scorpions. Kasey Acree was called on to finish, recording his 11th save. The second-place Scorpions bumped their record to 38-26.

In the bottom of the sixth, Sonoma first baseman Jared Smith had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Smith stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 6-4, Sonoma. For the game, he was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
