Johnson Helps Firecats Defeat Scorpions, 8-4
Ballpark of North Richland Hills was the site for Western AA action featuring the Sonoma Scorpions and Hialeah Firecats.

Led by Mike Johnson, the Hialeah Firecats downed the Sonoma Scorpions, 8-4. Johnson went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Firecats. At 23-40, the Firecats are currently last in the Western AA Coastal Division.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Johnson delivered big-time for Hialeah, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Jason Burget. The game-changing hit put the Firecats on top, 4-3.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Johnson. "You've got to get results."
