Win Makes Ragin Cajuns 36-28
|
The Stockton Ragin Cajuns stifled the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 4-2, at Ballpark of Stockton. John Anderson, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in bases on balls with 36, had his hitting cap on. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Stockton. The Ragin Cajuns bumped their record to 36-28 with this latest triumph.
The Ragin Cajuns got a big at-bat from center fielder Vince Austin. For the game, Austin was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Stockton a 2-0 lead.
After the game, Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
