4-0 Scorpions Win over Tigercats Evens Season Record
|
Sonoma and Vail took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Sonoma Scorpions picked up a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, knocking off the Vail Tigercats, 4-0. Starting pitcher Jose Ceballos was a big reason why. Ceballos got the win, improving to 3-4. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs.
Mario Aguiluz dealt the Tigercats a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Sonoma leading 1-0, Aguiluz hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Ceballos. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
The current losing streak for Vail has reached 4 games.
