Firecats Snatch Late-Game, 4-3 Win

The Hialeah Firecats did just enough to sneak past the Augusta Capitols, 4-3, at Firecats Ballpark. Hialeah pitcher Adam Mahoney, in particular, had a standout performance. The Firecats now have a record of 22-39 with the win over Augusta.
The Firecats got a clutch hit from catcher Bobby Goldsmith. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Firecats.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Augusta manager Chris Clarke.
