Milkmen Dump Miami, 3-1, to Win 4th in a Row

Joe Underwood pitched well, but the Miami Boll Weevils still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Vermont Milkmen at Emeralds Ballpark. The winner was Vermont reliever Bobby Rogers, now 1-0. The loser was Joe Underwood. Manuel Angloma closed it out for his 7th save.
The Milkmen got a big at-bat from right fielder Oscar Juarez. For the game, Juarez went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Vermont a 2-0 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Vermont skipper Steve Reid.
The Boll Weevils, at 27-35, have lost 4 straight games.
