Fans watched the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Sonoma Scorpions fight to the finish.

In a low-scoring game between the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Sonoma Scorpions, pitcher Jimmy Torres was the difference-maker. The Hamilton right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Bulldogs win. Hamilton reliever Ross Lefkowitz picked up the win. Jonathan Harvey, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in saves with 10, took the loss for Sonoma. Steve McManus closed it out for his 4th save.

Hamilton took a 3-2 lead on D.J. Newby's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Newby hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Sonoma pitcher Jonathan Harvey visibly frustrated.

Torres called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
