Royals Rally to Win, 5-4
|
Royals fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
Juan Guerra did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Bombardiers from losing the game, 5-4, to the Cornwall Royals in 10 innings at King George Park. Guerra went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Royals now own a record of 37-25.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 27-year old center fielder Scott Porter had a chance to be the hero. Cincinnati pitcher Jim Unknown had other ideas. But with one out, Porter reached on catcher's interference. The Royals had themselves a dramatic win.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Porter said.
