Cincinnati Dismisses Cornwall, 5-2
|
Cornwall left fielder Bill Kibler had a good game, even if his team did not. The Royals dropped a 5-2 decision to Cincinnati at King George Park. Kibler was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The triumph makes Cincinnati 20-41.
It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Juan Guerra, the 22-year old center fielder . Guerra contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-0.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Cincinnati skipper Carlos Almendarez.
