The Sonoma Scorpions used the hitting of first baseman Dave Pimenta to subdue the Vermont Milkmen, 7-3. For the game, Pimenta was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sonoma goes to 29-30, Vermont to 33-26.

Sonoma took the lead in the top of the fifth when Pimenta hit a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season made the score 5-2, Sonoma.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Pimenta told the Sonoma News.
