Bombardiers, Clark Blast Milkmen, 10-2
|
Cincinnati designated hitter Micah Clark had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Vermont Milkmen, 10-2. Alex Martinez, 2-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The win for the Bombardiers raised their record to 32-26.
With Cincinnati leading 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Clark hit a run-scoring single off Vermont hurler Elias Holguin. It was the 22nd hit of the season for Clark and put his team ahead, 4-2.
"Not my idea of a good time," Vermont manager Mike Barriga said, when asked afterward about the game.
