Bulldogs Run Win Streak to 18
|
The Cincinnati Bombardiers had to reckon with Hamilton Bulldogs hurler Aaron Bergman. Bergman, who is tied for 8th in the W-AA with a 8.2 K/9 rate, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-1 Bulldogs triumph. Bergman, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The wins continue to add up for Hamilton. The latest makes it 18 in a row.
Sean Henry had a big 2-run home run for the Bulldogs in the top of the sixth inning. With Hamilton leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Mike Pinion, who is tied for 8th in the W-AA with a 1.10 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Bulldogs on top, 4-0.
"We're playing like a well-oiled machine right now," said Bulldogs manager Tony Velez.
