Losing Streak Continues for Firecats with 6-3 Loss to Royals
The Cornwall Royals picked up a win at Firecats Ballpark, topping the Hialeah Firecats, 6-3. On the mound for Cornwall was right-hander Angelo Quezada. He played a principal role in the triumph. Quezada, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Now 14-41, Hialeah has lost 22 in a row.

Felipe Marquez had a big 2-run home run for the Royals in the top of the third inning. With Cornwall leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Armando Salas and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Royals on top, 3-0.

"If it can go wrong, it will go wrong," said John Costa, the Hialeah manager.
