Stars Drop Wild Things, 6-4
|
The Hollywood Stars weathered an outstanding game by Cleveland designated hitter Justin Cross to topple the Wild Things, 6-4. Cross went 5 for 6 with a double and 4 singles. The Stars, at 26-37, sit in last place in the National Conference West Division.
Hollywood won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With two outs and Bill Avery on the mound for Cleveland, designated hitter Bill Meyers hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Stars fans to their feet.
