The 9-3 Austin win over Dallas was due largely to Leo Serna. The Desperados right fielder slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Felipe Moreno picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. John Schwartz was tagged with the loss. The winning continues for Austin, with the latest triumph making it 9 straight.

Austin used the timely hitting of John Austin to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Desperados on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This team is real focused right now," said Austin manager Adam Ponder.
