Cabriales 3-for-4 in Giants Win
The 5-2 Detroit win over Syracuse was due in large part to Ruben Cabriales. The Giants designated hitter was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win gives Detroit a record of 5-2.

The Scorpions had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Giants going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old third baseman Edward Salgado came to the plate. Salgado hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 cutter from Syracuse hurler Mike Hammond. It was Salgado's 2nd double of the year.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Cabriales said after the game.
