Sykora Helps Austin Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Austin Desperados captured an easy win, 12-3, over the Toronto Trash Pandas at Dell Diamond. Jim Sykora led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-4 for Austin. Matt Parsons got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 6.1 innings. Joe McLaughlin recorded his 3rd save for Austin.

Sykora made an early impact for Austin when he stroked his 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Desperados on top, 4-1.

In postgame comments to the Austin Today, Sykora said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The Desperados have now reeled off 7 straight wins.
