Detroit starter Julian Bryant pitched well against the Vancouver Caribou at Ballpark of Detroit. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-5. Detroit is now 31-30. Vancouver is 24-37.

Chris Lutz had a big 2-run triple for the Giants in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Detroit leading 4-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from Mike Strasser, who is tied for 3rd in the NC in holds with 6, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 6-2.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Lutz said.
