Pitcher Juan Fernandez was sensational for the Cincinnati Royals in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles. Fernandez earned the win. The loss puts Daytona Beach at 1-5.

Fernandez's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Fernandez, who finished 4th in the AC in strikeouts with 229 in 2022, goes to 1-0 on the year with 10 strikeouts.

"Juan had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Cincinnati manager Justin Aaron.
