Scorpions Get Close Win Over Sea Dogs, 5-4
The Syracuse Scorpions locked up a win at Scorpion Stadium, knocking off the Charleston Sea Dogs, 5-4. On the mound for Syracuse was left-hander Dylan Diggs. He played a major role in the triumph. Syracuse reliever Ken Allbaugh was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Todd Thompson. The win makes Syracuse 29-31.

Ryan Mallory was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Scorpions catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Diggs described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
