Marauders 6-2 Winners Versus San Francisco
|
Philadelphia pitcher Matthew Thomas had a large part in his team beating the San Francisco Fire, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 9 innings, Thomas surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The second-place Fire now sit at 26-34.
Johnny McCargar was a prime contributor to the Philadelphia win. He was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the third with two out, the former first round draft pick hit a 2-run single. It made the score 5-1, in favor of the Marauders.
