The Desperados grabbed a win, 7-4, at Dell Diamond, overcoming a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Travis Williams. Williams went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Bob Baucke, credited with the save, is now 13 for 16 in save opportunities. At 26-34, the Desperados claim third place in the American Conference South Division.

John Austin hit a 2-run home run off Jeremy Gray in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Desperados ahead, 5-4. In addition to the homer, Austin had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Austin told the Austin Times.
