Eagles Thrill Fans with 5-4 Win
|
Eagles fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
Dallas right fielder Ray Baker had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Baker went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3, even as Indianapolis beat the Dragons, 5-4. Cameron Hutchinson, who is a three-time All-Star, was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Rick Ways.
Indianapolis got a critical at-bat from Danny Aleman. The right fielder stroked a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Dallas manager Juan Gonzales. "The effort was great."
Indianapolis, at 34-26, sits in third place in the National Conference North East Division.
