Losing Trend Continues for Vancouver
|
The Detroit Giants scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Vancouver Mounties at Ballpark of Detroit. Detroit pitcher Quito Herrera held his own in the contest. Vancouver is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Daniel Pinedo dealt the Mounties a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Detroit leading 3-0, Pinedo hit a 1-1 sinker for a run-scoring single.
"That was awesome. Really, really impressive, what Quito did," said Detroit manager Sean O'Leary.
