The Cincinnati Royals downed the Phoenix Gladiators, 8-7, at The Castle. Andrew Baltzley led the way, going 2-for-4 for Cincinnati. The loss makes Phoenix 22-38.

The decisive moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Cincinnati. That's when Jerry Blake hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Manny Brant to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"I'm as polite as the next guy," said Baltzley. "But not when the game's on the line."
