Whislters Park was the site of a competitive game between the Boston Whistlers and Oakland Invaders.

The Oakland Invaders defeated the Boston Whistlers, 5-3. Doing his part was right fielder Ernesto Ramirez, who was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Mike Bryan. He's now 4-4. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Invaders.

Oakland used a clutch at-bat from Gustavo Rawson to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Invaders ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Ramirez told the Oakland Herald.

Oakland now owns a record of 29-30.
