Brosch Leads Giants to 9-1 Win Over Fleet
The Detroit Giants pinned a convincing loss on the San Diego Fleet, 9-1, at San Diego Stadium. Keith Brosch was a main factor in the win. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for Detroit. Detroit currently is in first place in the American Conference North East Division at 33-26.

Detroit used a big swing from Angelo Mejia to get the win. The first baseman walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Giants up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said San Diego manager Chris Evans.
