Big Day for Willingham: Swats 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Damian Willingham, it came around today.

The 22-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over David F. Couch Ballpark to pace the 10-5 Wake Forest Demon Deacons victory over the Boston College Eagles.

Boston College skipper Jason Jordan told reporters in the press room that "Willingham deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Willingham hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Damian Willingham singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

Willingham is batting at a .333 pace this season, picking up 30 hits in 90 at-bats with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
