San Francisco Defeated by Hollywood, 5-2
|
Getting an impressive start from Adrian Huffine, Hollywood beat San Francisco by the score of 5-2. Huffine, now 9-8, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Jason Hollenbeck notched his 32nd save in 38 chances.
Paul Ainsworth went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Hollywood. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Tom Tchida. It was his 26th walk of the season.
"I tried to establish all my pitches early," said Huffine.
Hollywood has now won 4 in a row.
