Gladiators Pull Out Late Win, 1-0
The Dallas Dragons could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Bobby Henderson into a win. Instead, the Phoenix Gladiators prevailed, 1-0. Henderson threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Phoenix raised its record to 81-79 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Miguel Gutierrez in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Gabe Calloway to win the game for Phoenix. The home crowd went nuts.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Gutierrez said in reaction to the win.
