Phoenix right fielder Willie Villegas picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Austin Desperados, 6-5. Dave Coe got credit for the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The defeat makes Austin 91-69.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Villegas hit a fastball from Ethan Yarbrough for a run-scoring double. The Gladiators, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Villegas said.
