Dragons Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
Halifax pitcher Efrain Gutierrez had a large part in his team beating the Dallas Dragons, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Today's win puts Halifax at 99-61, while Dallas falls to 88-72.

Bruce Richards had a big 2-run double for the Heathens in the bottom of the first inning. With Halifax leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a forkball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Combs and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Heathens ahead, 3-0.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gutierrez.
