The Cleveland Brawlers picked up a win at The Backyard, downing the Detroit Giants, 6-3. On the mound for Cleveland was left-hander Mario Salazar, who played a pivotal role in the win. Earning the save was Wilfredo Rodriguez. He's now cashed in 4 of 6 save opportunities. The victory puts Cleveland at 65-95.

Chris Epstein had a big 2-run double for the Brawlers in the bottom of the first inning. With Cleveland leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Wroten and swatted a double to left. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brawlers ahead, 3-0.
