Sea Dogs Collect 6-5 Win Over Invaders
The Charleston Sea Dogs picked up a win at Ballpark of Charleston, dropping the Oakland Invaders, 6-5. David Edgemon, who is tied for 9th in the NC in strikeouts with 204, was the difference-maker. Charleston reliever Steve Gryder got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Steve Bueno was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Sea Dogs to 98-61.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Charleston. That's when Charlie Paquin hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Rich Hepler to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Paquin told the Charleston Bulletin.
