Detroit Giants starter Beau Larson turned in a top-notch performance against the New York Nightmare at Nightmare Stadium. The result was a win for the Giants, 4-0. Lee Maher, credited with the win in relief, is now 7-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The loss makes New York 57-102.
Keith Brosch, who finished 4th in the AC in on-base percentage with .384 in 2021, had a direct impact on the outcome. Brosch contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 12th inning to put Detroit up, 1-0.
"There's no quit in this team," said Giants manager Larry Voltaire.
