Fleet Stay Hot With 6-3 Win

The San Diego Fleet stopped the Montreal Maroons, 6-3, at San Diego Stadium. The Fleet got a big game from Jon Pitts, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winning continues for San Diego, with the latest triumph making it 9 straight.
In the bottom of the seventh, San Diego shortstop Corey Young gave his team the lead. With two out and the bases loaded, Prince hit his 7th double of the year. Montreal pitcher Wilfredo Rodriguez surrendered it. With that, the Fleet jumped in front, 5-3.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said San Diego manager Devon Randolph.
