Edwin Rincones, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2017 draft, never let the Dragons get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Heathens to a win, 5-1. Chris Booth, credited with the save, is now 5 for 12 in save opportunities. Halifax has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.

Gustavo Orozco dealt the Dragons a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Halifax leading 1-0, Orozco, who finished 4th in the AC in runs with 92 last year, hit a 0-1 curveball for a run-scoring single.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Halifax manager David Morris.
