Dragons Lose, 6-1, at Estadio Azteca

2021 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Dallas Dragons.
The Halifax Heathens topped the Dallas Dragons, 6-1, in American Conference action at Estadio Azteca. The standout performance belonged to Halifax pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Nick McGettigan. In 7 innings, McGettigan surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.
Juan Gonzalez hit a 2-run triple off Steve McClung in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Heathens in front, 3-1. Gonzalez had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
"Our offense was purring," said Halifax manager David Morris. "Like a well-oiled machine."
Dallas has now lost 5 straight.
