Behind a fine performance from Rick Brown, the Cincinnati Royals knocked off the Maine Pines, 4-1. Brown went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Royals. Kevin Kovach notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Dane Roberts converted his 7th save in 9 tries.
