Captains Pull Out Late Win, 2-1

Ahoy Park was host to some action-packed drama.
Tampa Bay got an elite performance from starting pitcher Albert Fabian in securing a 2-1 decision over the Syracuse Scorpions. Tampa Bay pitcher Jesse Vecchio got the win, upping his record to 7-7. Elijah Miller got the loss.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Tampa Bay. That's when Brian LaFollett hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Elijah Miller to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," LaFollett told the Tampa Bay Daily.
The losing streak for Syracuse has now reached 5 games.
