The Maine Pines defeated the Toronto Trash Pandas, 5-2. Shortstop Fabian Hartnett deserved a large share of the credit. Hartnett went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Pines. Maine is now 109-49, while Toronto is 85-73.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Hartnett delivered big-time for Maine, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Travis Williams. The game-changing hit put the Pines on top, 4-2.

"Fabian is still learning," said Pines manager David Whigham. "The sky's the limit for him."
