The San Diego Fleet defeated the Vancouver Mounties, 9-7, in National Conference action at Mounties Field. Jon Pitts pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Justin Pierce notched his 8th save in 18 chances. The Fleet have now won 8 straight.

In the top of the seventh, the Fleet grabbed the lead when Pitts hit his 31st home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Kyle Rodriguez made it 8-7, San Diego.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Pitts.
