Austin center fielder John Austin had a good game, even if his team did not. The Desperados dropped a 7-6 decision to Dallas at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Austin hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win elevated the Dragons to 86-71.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Dallas took the lead on a 2-run single by Gustavo Rawson. At the time, the Dragons were trailing 4-3, but Rawson's hit with two outs against Austin pitcher Byron Stanton put them in front, 5-4.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Rawson said.
