Pines Improve to 99-57 with 4-0 Win
The Maine Pines downed the Toronto Trash Pandas, 4-0, at Hannaford Dome. Stellar pitching by Dan Miller had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the NC with a 1.85 ERA, handcuffed his opponent all game. Miller yielded no runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 15-8. The Pines bumped their record to 99-57 with this latest triumph.

Julio Negron, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2018 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for Maine in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"It was a solid team effort," said Negron after the game.
