Marauders Pull Out Late-Game Win, 4-3
|
Marauders Ballpark was the site of quite a ballgame.
The New York Nightmare could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dustin Lewis into a win. Instead, the Philadelphia Marauders prevailed, 4-3. Lewis threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. With the victory, the Marauders upped their record to 91-65.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Philadelphia trailing 3-2, Ricky Ordonez hit a cutter from Tony Rosario to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Marauders had a walk-off win.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Ordonez said.
