Mounties Earn 4-2 Home Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Hollywood Stars and Vancouver Mounties get after it.
The Vancouver Mounties got a stellar effort from pitcher Antonio Enriquez, helping Vancouver score a win over the visiting Hollywood Stars, 4-2. Enriquez yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-4.
The Mounties had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Vancouver, with one out. Hollywood, with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Dustin Roachell dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch sinker, he grounded out.
Vancouver is 65-91 and Hollywood, with the loss, 67-89.
