Halifax Heathens starter Joe Hart found his groove in his team's 5-1 win over the Austin Desperados. Hart, now 18-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The American Conference South Division-leading Heathens are 101-55.

Joe Orr had a big run-scoring double for the Heathens in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Halifax leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Oren and swatted a double to right. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Heathens ahead, 3-1.

"Joe kept his poise and got the job done," said Halifax manager David Morris. "He was outstanding."
