Gladiators Rally to Nose Past Dallas
Dallas wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jonathan Allen, falling to the Phoenix Gladiators, 2-1. Allen threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Carlos Abarca picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Mike Braasch suffered the loss. The victory gives Phoenix a record of 84-72.

Phoenix used the timely hitting of John Anderson to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Gladiators on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Anderson said his team "played with focus."
