The Oakland Invaders beat the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 5-0, at Howard Terminal. Starting pitcher Dennis Allen was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Oakland is now 89-66, while Daytona Beach is 60-95.

Allen, who dominated for Oakland, earned the victory to move to 11-10. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 7. Daytona Beach batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Dennis pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Oakland manager Adam Ponder.
