Thompson Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-4 Sea Turtles Triumph

The home crowd had a good time watching the Charleston Shiners and Daytona Beach Sea Turtles get after it.
Jordan Thompson led Daytona Beach to a win over Charleston. The final score was 7-4. The center fielder had a huge performance. He whacked 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Jon Haynes, the winning pitcher, is now 10-7. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 3.
Daytona Beach grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Thompson hit a run-scoring double off Jared Trombley. His 15th double of the season put the Sea Turtles out in front, 5-4.
"Nice win for us," said Thompson. "Now we'll go after the next one."
With the victory, the Sea Turtles record stands at 76-79.
