Steve Pikula had an impressive outing at Seagull Park, hurling the Sandusky Seagulls to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Syracuse Scorpions.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Syracuse skipper Ricardo Lopez said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."

On the day, the right-handed Pikula yielded 7 hits and tallied 4 strikeouts with no walks.
