Losing Trend Continues for San Francisco
San Diego Fleet starter Rodrigo Lemus pitched well against the San Francisco Fire at San Diego Stadium, leading his team to a win, 7-4. The winner was Lemus. He threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Taylor Motyl. The win for the Fleet lifted their record to 92-63.

San Diego second baseman Matt Rock contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 58th hit of the season and put the Fleet ahead, 3-0.
