The Indianapolis Eagles used a great performance from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Brad Bixby to beat the Cincinnati Royals, 3-1, at The Castle. The winning pitcher was Bixby, now 11-6. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Mike Canales picked up the save for Indianapolis, his 5th of the year.

Indianapolis used the hitting of Jim Anderson to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Eagles on top, 3-0. For the game, Anderson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Anderson.

The win gives Indianapolis a season record of 83-72.
