Indianapolis Earns 2-1 Win
|
Indianapolis and Cincinnati took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Indianapolis pitcher Tim Sindt did his part in helping his team beat the Cincinnati Royals, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. With the win over Cincinnati, the Eagles improved to 88-67.
Jerry Robinson, who leads the NC in home runs with 34, took Cincinnati hurler Josh Hunter deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Eagles on top, 2-1. In all, Robinson had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Robinson.
